Mahesh Bhatt's firebrand daughter Pooja has ended her 11-year marriage with Munish Makhija, which she choses to describe as 'glorious'
Pooja Bhatt and her husband Munish Makhija have parted ways.
This afternoon, Pooja took to Twitter to announce the separation, followed by another tweet to say that the parting was not ugly. A few minutes later, she tweeted again to say that she was not going to talk about the reason why she and Munish are no more a couple.
Pooja’s tweets:
1. To all those who care & especially those that don't my husband Munna & Me have decided to part ways after 11 glorious years of marriage
2. Our split as some might call it is amicable & we hold each other in the highest esteem for now and forever
3. The reason I explain Is because we are both part of the public domain. Our friends, well wishers & foes are free to now speculate.
SpotboyE.com has learnt that the cracks in Pooja-Munna relationship had developed since many years. A source close to the couple says, “They had their share of irrevocable differences and had drifted apart from each other. A few months ago, they sat down and decided that they rather not drag their relationship and make things ugly between them.”
In his inimitable style, Mahesh said, Death doesn't happen in one day.
Added Mahesh, Look, Pooja and Munish have decided to part on their own. I had nothing to do with their marriage. I have nothing to do with their separation. I respect their decision to live life on their own terms. I salute Pooja to have hung out the truth on a public platform. She has behaved exactly as me and I am proud of her.
But how does he feel as a parent, we asked? Mahesh retorted, This is not the first or the last time that people will dream of an everlasting relationship and die if they find themselves short of it.
When contacted, Pooja continued to be evasive. She simply said, Did anybody ask me why I fell in love with Munna? Then why am I being asked now why I have decided to part ways with him? It is really nobodys business to know this part of my personal life.
And is she planning to file for divorce? That you will know in some time. And I dont want to say anything more for now. Leave me alone, she quipped.
